Okay, so last week, I kicked off my first Substack chat to discuss my holiday gift guide and hear your ideas. At first, it was crickets! But then Louis Anthony Woodbine who writes kindly joined me and saved my first chat from the ignominy of being ignored. Louis, you have my forever gratitude :)
I realized that many of my subscribers might not be aware of Substack’s new chat feature that is available on the app. I hope to use it more often in the new year so here’s a quick primer!
P.S. If you would rather do nothing and continue to receive my emails in your inbox, then by all means, do nothing! I hear you - we don’t really need more “social” media! But if you are interested in more personal interaction, or are more of a text-message-person (vs email), then you might want to try this.
Happy Holidays! We Ate Well will return after a week’s hiatus.
About Substack Chat
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — kind of like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Hi! Can’t wait for your new cookbook Vegetarian Reset!
