It's Cinco de Mayo and I am delighted to present to you the We Ate Well Around the World series, where we showcase traditional cuisines from around the world!


The Tlayuda is a type of 'Mexican pizza' that is native to Oaxaca, a state in southern Mexico. Chef Alejandro at the Banyan Tree, Mayakoba, graciously agreed to do a cooking demonstration of his delicious vegetarian version for We Ate Well.
