January went by in a blur - interviews, the official book launch, more interviews, travel, phew! I just got back from California where I had two lovely bookstore events in San Francisco, at Omnivore Books and at Books Inc. in Mountainview (where my parents used to live many decades ago!). Reconnecting with family and old friends is always special, but meeting so many new people who came out to hear from me and get my book was a high that I’ll never get over. If you missed it and live in the area, a few signed copies of the book are still available at both stores.
Also, just a shout out to that glorious California produce! We got lucky with the weather last week, but just the sight of those lemon and orange trees is enough to bring sunshine to my day!

Cliched as it sounds, reviews are hugely important for a debut author. Today 70% or so of books are sold online - and when was the last time you bought anything online without obsessing about the reviews? If you liked the book and think that others might benefit, please write a review (it can be just 2 lines!) and it will help the mighty algorithm show it to other shoppers. The review could be on Amazon or any other platform that you purchased the book. I would be so grateful!
